Shoot, move, and survive
An advanced, integrated firearms and defensive decision-making program developed by Taigun Taijutsu in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Grounded in practical tactical movement, deep situational awareness, eliminating the threat, and the core priority of survival.
Course curriculum
This is not a competition shooting course or an aggressive tactical workshop. We guide responsible adult students through three core training pillars designed to prevent conflict, make sound decisions under stress, and protect life when violence cannot be avoided.
Awareness and prevention
Learn early threat recognition, environmental scanning, verbal de-escalation, and tactical disengagement to avoid violent encounters entirely.
Handling and movement
Develop safe weapons handling, fundamental marksmanship, clearing malfunctions, and dynamic movement to safer cover while protecting others.
Trauma and survival
Gain vital trauma-aid skills, emergency communication protocols, 911 dispatch interactions, and safe engagement procedures with first responders.
A martial approach to defensive firearms
Traditional shooting courses isolate weapon manipulation on a static range line. At Taigun Taijutsu, our training integrates empty-hand defensive movement, natural body mechanics, and sound judgment so you understand and embody tactical survival.
Participant eligibility and requirements
Because this training demands absolute focus and emotional maturity, the course is strictly restricted to adults aged 21 and older. All candidates must be legally permitted to own and carry firearms, complete our comprehensive classroom safety orientation, and bring personally owned, lawfully possessed equipment in safe working order. Every live-fire component requires instructor screening and host range compliance.
Comprehensive scenario training
Our modular approach combines interactive lectures, inert dry-fire exercises, realistic emergency simulations, and supervised range drills. You will practice getting away from danger, communicating clearly with family or bystanders, clearing common weapon stoppages, and applying vital trauma care under pressure.
