International Bujinkan Dojo Association
Taigun Taijutsu in Murfreesboro is proud to be an affiliated dojo of the International Bujinkan Dojo Association (IBDA). Founded by Doshi Richard J. Van Donk in 1985, the IBDA preserves and transmits the nine historical lineage traditions of Ninjutsu and Budo Taijutsu across a supportive worldwide community.
Rooted in authentic tradition
Unlike sport-based martial arts that prioritize competitions, scoring, and trophies, our IBDA-guided training centers on authentic personal transformation. Students follow a structured syllabus deeply anchored in ancient traditions, studying empty-hand techniques, environmental awareness, ukemi, locks, and traditional weapons.
Structured progression and certified standards
Training within an IBDA-affiliated school guarantees access to over three decades of codified martial knowledge. Students advance through clear Kyu and Dan ranks, ensuring every movement builds on a solid foundation under comprehensively trained and certified instructors.
